Minnesota moving company rules

Minnesota requires household goods movers to hold a Household Goods Mover Permit from the Minnesota Department of Transportation before operating, and a permit allows statewide operation. Permit holders must file liability and cargo insurance, keep a tariff of their rates, and charge only those tariff rates. MnDOT's Office of Freight and Commercial Vehicle Operations runs the program.
