District of Columbia moving company rules

The DC Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection (DLCP) issues a Basic Business License for the 'Moving and Storage' business activity. To get it, a mover must provide a certificate of occupancy, a police criminal history report, tax registration with a Clean Hands certificate, corporate registration if it applies, and pre-printed contract forms that meet DC rules. No DC-specific rules on mover estimates, liability or insurance amounts were found.
